VP Fund Solutions is the international fund competence centre of VP Bank Group, with a presence in the Luxembourg and Liechtenstein fund centres. The investment fund business of VP Bank Group is brought together under the VP Fund Solutions roof. It includes third-party fund business, private label funds and VP Fund Solutions` own home-grown funds.

As a public limited company, VP Fund Solutions (Luxembourg) SA is a legally independent, wholly owned VP Bank subsidiary, operating since 1998 within the world's second-largest fund centre.

Strengthening the presence in the Scandinavian markets

In 2018, VP Fund Solutions successfully entered in the Nordic market by onboarding new clients, Carnegie Investment Bank Stockholm and Copenhagen, and also welcomed another independent asset manager with a Danish background. Since then VP Fund Solutions has continued to concentrate on this region where investors have a strong appetite for investment funds.

With the takeover of the Luxembourg private banking activities of Catella Bank with headquarters in Sweden and the takeover of the private banking activities of the Swedish financial group Öhman in Luxembourg in July 2020, VP Bank (Luxembourg) SA expanded the Group's activities in the Luxembourg and Scandinavian markets.

The main focus of VP Fund Solutions is on independent asset managers running traditional as well as alternative investment strategies such as private equity, real estate and infrastructure investments in the Nordic region as well as abroad. The enhanced infrastructure license as AIFM (Alternative Investment Fund Manager) and the experience in infrastructure investments in Scandinavia helps VP Fund Solutions to understand the requirements of their prospects. As for traditional or UCITS funds, the fund competence centre of VP Bank has been approached by family offices and asset managers currently operating local funds who are looking for a solution with more sophisticated international distribution capacities such as Luxembourg- domiciled funds. Other managers who already have Luxembourg-domiciled funds in place are looking for options to delegate management company services to improve efficiency or simply for a new client-focused service provider concentrating on the Scandinavian markets.

Adapting to the client`s needs

VP Fund Solutions has highly specialised staff with a depth of experience in the Scandinavian markets. Most of them have already worked for a management company promoted by a Swedish bank. Furthermore, VP Fund Solutions has adapted the NAV process and invested in its systems in order to meet local asset management requirements. As the facilities are in place, the attention to the client’s needs is the core competitive advantage VP Fund Solutions can offer.
