
Pictet AM continues to strengthen its fixed income offering, with the addition of four private debt specialists. It plans to launch a new fund, focused on direct loans to companies in the lower-middle-sized segment, by early 2023.
Andreas Klein, who joined Pictet AM early in 2022, will lead the new private debt team from London. Previously, he was CEO at ICG, where he worked eight years, having contributed to the establishment and development of a direct lending investment strategy.

In addition, two regional managers, Axel Cordonnier and Jan Reichenbach, as well as a senior investment manager, Christian Eckert, have joined the team this November.
Axel Cordonnier, head of private debt for France, will work from Paris. Previously, he worked more than ten years in management of the private debt team at Ares Management. Jan Reichenbach will be responsible for ASA (Germany, Switzerland and Austria). Previously, he was managing director responsible for Netherlands and ASA at Muzinich, leading the creation and development of an investment platform for direct loans to mid-cap companies, focused on Netherlands and European and German speaking Europe. He will work from Frankfurt, alongside with Christian Eckert, senior investment manager, who will be responsible for information sources and execution in ASA. He previously worked in the leveraged finance team at NIBC Bank in Frankfurt.
