Following the appointment of Cynthia Tobiano as Chief Executive Officer of Edmond de Rothschild Holding SA, several appointments have been made at Group level and the French subsidiary demonstrating the Group’s commitment to promoting its talents and fostering internal mobility.
Philippe Cieutat has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Edmond de Rothschild Group. As such, he will join the Group’s Executive Committee and oversee finance, cash and loans.
Pierre-Etienne Durand, Group Head of Strategy and a member of the Executive Committee, has taken on extended responsibilities in corporate development and will report to François Pauly.
Fabrice Coille, currently Head of Group Management Control, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Edmond de Rothschild (France) and a member of the Executive Board.
Nicolas Giscard d’Estaing has been appointed Corporate Secretary and a member of the Executive Board of Edmond de Rothschild (France). In particular, he is in charge of supervising the Risk, Permanent Control and Compliance functions, the function of Head of Information Systems Security, Credit, and the Institutional Relations Department.
Lastly, Sarah Arnett, currently Director of Communications France and the Group Brand, has been named Director of Communications and Brand for the Group. She reports to François Pauly and is based in Geneva. Marie de Perignon succeeds her in Paris and has been appointed Director of Communications in France.
Philippe Cieutat, 44, joined Edmond de Rothschild (France) in September 2014 as Chief Administrative and Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In March 2019, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Edmond de Rothschild (France), where he had been a member of the Executive Board since 2014.
Philippe Cieutat began his career in 2002 in auditing in the financial sector at Mazars, before joining HSBC France’s General Inspectorate in 2005, first as an Inspector and later as a Missions Director. He joined HSBC Global Asset Management (France) in 2009 as Finance Director and a member of the Asset Management Executive Committee. In 2013, he was appointed Director of Strategy and Organisation at HSBC France and a member of the Executive Committee. In particular, he was responsible for monitoring the implementation of HSBC France’s strategic plan.
Philippe Cieutat is a graduate of the ESSEC Business School and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Pierre-Etienne Durand, 45, began his career at Oliver Wyman in Paris and then joined Bain & Company in 2006, where he later became a Partner at the Financial Services skills division. He joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group in 2013 as Director of Strategy and Organisation of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, and, from March 2019, as Director of Strategy and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Pierre-Etienne Durand is a graduate of ESSEC and INSEAD.
Fabrice Coille, 49, began his career in 1996 at ING Ferri. In 2001, he joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group subsidiary in France, where he held various responsibilities in management control for over 12 years. After being appointed Head of Management Control for the subsidiary in Paris in 2013, he joined the head office in Geneva in 2014 as Head of Group Management Control. Fabrice Coille is a graduate of Université Paris Dauphine and also holds a DESS postgraduate diploma in Financial Engineering and a DES postgraduate diploma in Accounting and Finance.
Nicolas Giscard d’Estaing, 65, began his career in 1979 at Crédit Industriel et Commercial in Paris, then joined Edmond de Rothschild (France) in 1984, where he held various functions. He was appointed Secretary General of the Executive Board in January 2017 and Secretary of the Board in March 2019. Nicolas Giscard d’Estaing is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds a university diploma in Economic Sciences.
Sarah Arnett, 48, began her career in 1996 at the Fortiter communications agency, where she managed corporate communications. In 2000, she joined CCF and oversaw the change of identity of the Bank. She later orchestrated the launch of the HSBC brand in France, in 2005. In 2008, she became Head of Brand at the RATP Group. She joined Edmond de Rothschild in 2014. Sarah Arnett is a graduate of CELSA and holds a Marketing Management diploma from ESCP.
Marie de Perignon, 44, began her career in 2002 as an events project manager at communication group Mazarine. She joined Crédit Suisse in 2006 as communication director for France, organising events and marketing communication projects for the private banking and merchant banking businesses as well as the front office. Marie came to Edmond de Rothschild in France in 2011, where she took charge of communication and marketing for private banking. She holds a degree in communication and marketing from CELSA and a qualification in digital and marketing strategy from INSEAD.
